Today’s Scripture: James 2:8 ESV-If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”you are doing well.
What the world needs now is love. It is crazy how time proves who God is and His Word to be true. The world wants to turn away from God and ask for earthly kings. Kings never worked and neither have people. We people will always let each other down if we try to rule one another with our views and fighting over these differences with our neighbors will only divide us.
Division is what the evil one and the evil rulers of this world want. Divided we are easier to control. However, if we are connected because of love it is a bond that cannot be broken or weakened. If we will first love God and then love our neighbors we will live in peace.
God’s Word is perfect whether we try to remove it from society or not. It is not easy but I am to love my neighbor as myself. I am to show the love of Jesus Christ to all others. James 2 urges us not to show favoritism and partiality. Our ego and our flesh cry otherwise. I must hold onto my faith in my Lord Jesus Christ to be able to do this. Only with God’s love can I love.
Will you love your neighbor today?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty Father of our Lord Jesus Christ I humbly approach Your throne. Your glory is in all things. I confess my sins to You and seek Your love for all people. Help me to show Your love and Your faith in being the equal of all others. Help me to show my faith in my works. Amen
