Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:4 ESV- I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus,
Do you give thanks to your God always? Paul even gives us his “because” here in 1 Corinthians. Because of the grace of God given to us in Christ Jesus he reminds us and even gives us another affirmation in verse 5. In every way we were enriched by Jesus Christ.
That is a great affirmation isn’t it? In every way I have been enriched by Jesus Christ. In speech, all knowledge and all gifts that will sustain us. We can give thanks to our God always.
Next we are told our God is faithful because it was He that called us into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ. That alone gives us so many things to give thanks-ALWAYS.
I cannot begin to count the things I can give thanks for. This fellowship with Jesus Christ has filled me with thanksgivings and praise to God.
Will you give thanks to your God always?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for being my God. Thank You for calling me into fellowship with Your Son Jesus Christ. In this fellowship I am filled with thanksgiving. Please LORD help me to share Your faithfulness to all others. I am thankful for Your faithfulness even in my lack of faith and I am thankful for Your love even when I am unlovable. In You LORD I am filled with thanks. Amen
