Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 41:13 ESV– For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
Can you close your eyes and imagine the feeling of God holding your hand? When I try to do that a warmth shoots straight to my heart. LORD, please take my hand and my heart. When I give God my hand and my heart I have no fear, literally.
The evil cries of this world do not shake me or affect me. My heart breaks for those loud and fearful hearts that will not reach out to God. I pray that each of us who have had our hands held by God will share this experience with just one lost soul. We can share how we stopped fearing man and had no need to tear others down because we learned to let go and take God’s hand.
We found when we were poor and needy enough we could call on God and He answered us. It is no different for today’s society than for Israel in the time of Isaiah. God is the one who helps us.
Will you give your hand to God today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God of Israel, my God, thank you for loving me and for being my help. I give You my hand and my heart and know it is You alone who I can trust. I fear not because of You my LORD. You have proven since the beginning of time Your powers and Your Help. Forgive me and today’s people for turning to ourselves and our actions of fear. Humble us LORD and bring us back to you. In Your mighty name do I pray. Amen
