Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 13:16 ESV- Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
The God of peace just wants us to do good and share what we have to please Him. This sounds so simple yet but these days people are confused as to what is good. These scriptures in Hebrew 13 encourage us to obey and submit to our leaders who speak the Word of God to us. We are to consider their way of life and to imitate their faith.
We can imitate their faith by imitating the Word they teach. We should not be led astray by strange and diverse teachings attempting to redefine God and what is good. Be careful to seek God’s Word that defines what is good and pleasing to Him.
Jesus Christ is the same today and yesterday and forever. There is not some new progressive teaching for good.
Are you doing good with what you have? Are you being careful to not be led astray?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, You are my God and I desire to give sacrifices that are pleasing to You. I want to follow Your way of life and to imitate the faith required to do good and share what I have. Lord, please protect my mine, heart and soul from be led astray by those with strange and diverse teachings. I ask Your Holy Spirit to teach me what is good and to help me do good with what I have. Amen
