Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 42:19 NIV: Who is blind but my servant, or deaf as my messenger whom I send? Who is blind as my dedicated one, or blind as the servant of the LORD?
These days, well I guess since the beginning of time, we need to be blind and deaf to this world. When we sneak a peek at what is going on in this world or listen to the voices piercing the airways we are sapped of joy and robbed of life.
There is so much evil and hate in the world what we should not look at or listen to. When we look to God and listen to God we find hope, love and peace we can share with this world. Those that hate will try to paint God in the light of hate because they do not know Him. Those of us that God has spoken to and called by name must be blind and deaf to these criticisms and realize that these folks are simply blind and deaf too.
Isaiah 42:22 says these people plundered and looted, does this sound familiar to today’s news, which is best to be blind and deaf to? But just as we have been redeemed we pray to speak of how the LORD redeemed us. I do not profess to tell others how that are to be redeemed but I can lift my voice and cry out how I have been redeemed.
Will your blindness and deafness help others to see and hear the LORD?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, my LORD God. Thank You for redeeming me. Thank You for my blindness and deafness. I pray to sing Your praises of Your redemption. I pray to stay blind and deaf for YOU to share Your eyes and ears for those You love. Thank You for loving me and asking me to be Your witness. Amen
