Today’s Scripture:Hebrews 13: 20-21 ESV- Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
The God of peace, the same God who brought Jesus from the dead, has equipped you and me. Pretty overwhelming to comprehend, isn’t it? The more we follow the leading of the great shepherd the more we do that is pleasing in His sight.
Do you think Jesus had the practice of going off to be alone on those dark mornings to pray to His Father in heaven to be equipped with God’s will for that day? I knew when I was praying to God this particular morning that I was there to be equipped. I was not to bring my list of my needs or wants but only to seek His will.
God does provide our daily bread to equip us to do His will. My prayer is that you and I will go boldly knowing God Himself has equipped us.
What has God equipped you to do?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father thank You for equipping me. You know my needs and the needs of others more than I. I know You equip me with everything that is good and I pray to boldly use what You give me. Thank You for preparing the way and for preparing me. Help me to follow your shepherding always and to seek your peace at all times so I will do that which is pleasing in Your sight. Amen
