Today’s Scripture: God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth. Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. Psalm 108:7-8 ESV
What does God’s word say to you? Context is important but is it more important than the message He has for you today? I realize I am stretching the boundaries of this passage yet I am unapologetic as I feel God’s reassurance.
What I love about this affirmatic study of the word is the personal nature of receiving God’s promises; the treasures He has given us. When I find the nuggets He intends my spirit knows it. I knew when I read the opening words of Psalm 108 that simply states “a song” I knew this was more than just a song.
I knew this was about my song; your song. A melody with our whole being as stated in Psalm 108:1. What is your life singing?
Do you take God’s promises personally?
Today’s Prayer: I give thanks to You O LORD. Thank You for Your promises to me. Thank You for allowing me to feel that I am Your beloved. LORD help me to live a life that is a song to You. LORD help me to sing with my whole being. Your promises are mine. Amen
