Today’s Scripture: Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26 ESV
When you pray to God do you ask to know and do His will or do you ask Him to know and do your will?
We do not always know what to pray, do we? But thanks be to God the Holy Spirit knows and intercedes for us. Will we quiet our asking long enough to allow the Spirit to intercede? Can we still our minds and our tongues to seek to know God’s will for us by listening to His Spirit?
Holy Spirit teach me to pray without ceasing. In the model of Jesus’ prayer help me to pray with You. Fill me with the knowledge only You have. Guide me in the way of God’s purpose. Prepare my heart and my life to serve God as He desires.
I trust You Holy Spirit and thank You for Your supplications for me. Help me to live in You continually.
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for praying with the Holy Spirit for me. I trust You are coordinating Your will. I trust You to shape me and mold me into Your willing servant. I am comforted and strengthened to know the Holy Spirit knows Your will and myself better than I. I praise You LORD and pray I will complete Your will for me today. Amen

Sitting still before the Lord and letting His Spirit direct our prayers is an absolute key to effective praying. It is way easier said than done.
Thanks Joseph, it can be constant tug of war between mind and Spirit for me. Let go, take back it seems many times in a quiet time alone with the LORD. Learning to discern the voice and place of the Holy Spirit is well, learned it seems and best found in the stillness. May we Know God and His Spirit more and more. Blessings and trust!
