Today’s Scripture: And when he saw Jesus in the distance, he ran and threw himself at His feet, (Mark 5:6 Weymouth)
Do you ever feel like Legion in Mark 5? I do. Do you have things in your life that keep you in bondage? I do.
This Weymouth translation of Mark 5:6 states that Legion “threw himself” at Jesus’ feet. Have you ever been there? Just bowing low, kneeling before Him is magnified in throwing yourself at Jesus’ feet.
The first step of Legion’s run was to see Jesus. Can you see Him; are you looking? Would you recognize Him? Would He recognize you?
Legion asked Jesus not to torment Him. Really?? The previous verse says he always, day and night, cried and cut himself in the agony of these demons. Yet, in his torment he was concerned with Jesus tormenting him. Because of our torment do we also fear the torment of Jesus?
Jesus removed Legion’s demons and He will remove ours if we run to Him and throw ourselves at His feet. Do you see Him?
Today’s Prayer: Jesus I see You. I am running to You and throwing myself at Your feet. Please remove these things that bind me. I know my only hope of complete healing is in You. I am here Lord, cleanse me. Amen

As one who throws herself at the feet of Jesus every day…sometimes every hour, I get it and I join you in your prayer brother Tom. I am praying for you and yours, and for all those who give out the Word, for which I am so grateful! In the mighty and matchless name of Yeshua! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuvfMDhTyMA Cindy
Wonderful to hear from you Cindy, I have been praying and thinking about you lately and I pray all is well. Every hour, Oh how we need Him. Thanks as always for the musical exclamation! Blessings as you throw yourself at His feet.
Wow, Tom . . .what a powerful and honest post for us. Looking to see Jesus and running to Him now. Thank you and God bless you as you keep affirming His word to us.
Thank you Deb! Blessings as you run!
It is amazing to me that even in his demon possessed state some shred of this man’s humanity drove him to Jesus’ feet. It is even more amazing that once driven there the demons had no choice but to bow before the Savior of mankind. There truly is no storm too dark that God cannot calm it. Just think, if Jesus could so easily liberate a man bound by the supernatural power of two thousand demons, what can he do for those of us whose problems are far less dramatic? It kind of puts things in perspective for me.
Amen Joseph, I even felt the calm release the tenseness in my face as I was reminded by your words that all things bow to our Savior. We can relax in His calm and His yoke! Blessings…and yes, He can handle our problems as we throw them at His feet. Blessings and amazement!
I too am amazed at the power of my God manifest in my life. Before Him my mountains become mole hills.
And I just love it that he didn’t pause. Hesitate. Question. Doubt. Wonder. He fell at Jesus’ feet. This was so powerful, Tom. Thanks for reminding me…what healing comes when he drop at His feet and worship.
Thank you Julie! Throwing ALL we have at his feet is where we find healing and promise! Blessing at His feet!
