Today’s Scripture: Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope.2 Thessalonians 2:16 NLT
Can we grasp that Jesus himself and God the Father have given us an eternal comfort and a wonderful hope? Eternal comfort has a way of making the cares of today pale doesn’t it? Having a wonderful hope in Jesus and God is simply wonderful.
The Lord is faithful and it is certainly comforting to know He will protect us and direct us. The New Living Translation tells us in 2 Thessalonians 3:5 that the Lord will lead our hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
LORD lead my heart into Your love and teach me the endurance of Jesus. Knowing that God is faithful and He will guide us and protect us certainly gives us comfort and hope doesn’t it?
Can you feel the eternal comfort that Jesus himself and God the Father have given you?
Today’s Prayer: Father God and my Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for the eternal comfort and wonderful hope You have given me. I am thankful that You will guide me today into Your love and You will provide me with the endurance and perseverance of Jesus. Please grant me the energy to work day and night to provide for the needs of my family and for You. My comfort and my hope are in You. Amen
