Today’s Scripture: Jude 1:18 ESV: They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”
We have thousands of choices of passions to follow don’t we? What paths do we choose, what steps do we take?
Don’t we already see scoffers all around us that think Godly passions are somehow secondary to those of man? We are to keep those separated? I choose not to separate my real life and my real passion which is God Himself.
I came to Jude today after seeing a promise that it is God who is able to keep us from stumbling. He is “able”; will be seek Him? Will we seek His path and take His steps. He has a path for us and He fills us with passion to follow it. Our challenge is to choose His passions over the passions of the flesh and the world.
How do we, how do you do this? Do you seek Him as you follow your passions? God is able to keep us from stumbling so shouldn’t we look to Him for stability? Lord, on my knees You feed me; Your Spirit and Your Word prepare my soul.
Do you pray for God’s passions as you prepare to take your next step?
Today’s Prayer: All glory is Yours O God. Thank You for saving me through our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your Spirit who plants seeds and grants visions to see how we can help prepare the paths of those who seek to follow You. Fill me with Your passions O God. Your passions are all I will follow and use me to prepare the way for those desiring Your way. Amen

How do I choose His passions over tha passions of my flesh? By prayer and the Word of God. These things change my heart for they allow God’s glory in and that Presence makes all the difference. What flesh can stand or lead in the presence of Jesus? Thanks for reminding me, Tom, to call His passions into my heart today!

Thanks Bill for stopping by and sharing. I know I can’t not skip step one here. For me step one is to hit my knees before Him and He is so faithful to fill us when we seek His Spirit. Praying for your services this weekend and know that God will give each of your attendees a passion that can be interwoven with the passions of others to do God’s will. Blessings!
