Do you need hope? A book called Lamentations on the surface does not appear to be a place to go but indeed it is. Lamentations 3:21 tells us that although we are in dark places if we remember in our mind certain things we will find hope.
Lamentations 3:22 is our source for this affirmation today. The writer reminds us that God’s lovingkindness and compassion never fails. Although we may not feel we can go on, we need to turn our minds to God and remember He loves us and will have compassion on us.
3:23 says they are They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (NKJV) Today is a new day. Great is God’s faithfulness. He offers His love and His compassion to us today. Fresh and new each day!
Lamentations 3:40 says: Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the LORD; (NKJ). Let us examine what we are doing that may be causing our pain and turn back to God. He will love us and He will receive us with compassion.
So let’s lift our hands up to Heaven and seek Him. 3:41 Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven. (NKJ) With the strength and love we have may we praise God for His love and compassion each morning as we face a new day.
Seek your hope in God. 3:57 says: You drew near on the day I called on You, And said, “Do not fear!” (NKJ). Go ahead call out to God for hope. He will come to you and remind you that hope is in Him and for you not to fear. Have faith in His love and His compassion. Do not worry, do not fear.
Great is His faithfulness that is renewed every morning. May we find hope in Him today and receive His love and His compassion. May we turn to Him today away from those ways that lead us away from Him. In praising Him in confidence today may we find hope.
Beautiful affirmation…new every morning. I am so humbled by this and this morning I open my heart to His gentle compassion and His loving mercy…
Thank you Ms Robin. Yes it is humbling. I am so sure your heart is overflowing with love and compassion. Thanks for spilling onto the rest of us!
When I wake up in the morning I “hang my hat” on the truth that His mercies are new every morning. I like knowing that His grace was not just for yesterday but for today. When I need it.
Amen. So nice to just count on it. No matter what happens today. Tomorrow He will fill us show Himself to us again!
