Today’s Scripture: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:3 ESV
Is it because it is Thanksgiving week that I feel so thankful to God? Shouldn’t I always bless God with my thanksgivings? As I read Ephesians 1 this morning the Spirit of God filled me with spiritual blessings of thanksgiving.
People are searching for affirmations for thanksgiving. Our search ends in the Word of God. In God we are blessed and we can bless Him with our thanksgivings.
Some thanksgivings I found in Ephesians 1 this morning are:
- I am thankful for my spiritual blessings.
- I am thankful that through Jesus I will fulfill the God’s purpose.
- I am thankful for the glorious grace of Jesus.
- I am thankful for the redemption of Jesus’ blood.
- I am thankful for the inheritance of God.
- I am thankful for the Holy Spirit.
- I give thanks for you.
- I am thankful that God gives me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.
- I am thankful the eyes of my heart have been enlightened.
- I am thankful for the hope in God’s calling.
- I am thankful for the greatness of God’s power.
- I am thankful for the lordship of Jesus Christ.
What thanksgivings can you bless God with today?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for blessing me. I praise You and bless You with my thanksgivings. Thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ who died for me and redeemed me. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit who indwells in me and guides me to fulfill Your purpose. In You I am thankful. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
You have a very comprehensive list and to this I will add, I am thankful to God that I am not the woman I used to be, and I would not be where I am today without his redemptive work in my life, and by his grace and mercy I hope to continue to grow in his likeness. To God be the glory.
Thank you Patsy for your addition and your call to grow into His likeness. I pray this with you and praise His name in thanksgiving! Blessings to you and yours!
I have the feeling you could go on forever, Tom! Thank you for kickstarting our thankfulness! God bless you and yours, as you stay thankful!
Thanks Deb, God’s Word is forever and never ending. His living Word feeds us and provided forever! Blessings and thanksgiving to you my friend!
I feel this should be my mantra this week – working in a church office in a short week before Thanksgiving (or week before Christmas or Easter) doesn’t always leave you feeling thankful, I’m sad to say. I need to leave the chaos, stress, to-do lists, and turmoil at the feet of Jesus in thanksgiving… even if it is being thankful that I have a job and CAN do the job.
Thanks to you, Tom.
Amen Katy! Stress can be a heavy load for sure. So freeing to lay them at His feet. We can trust the outcome He desires. I am praying for you now and knowing Jesus will provide the way. I too praise Him for your job and the ability to do it in Him. Blessings and thanksgiving!
