Today’s Scripture: The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 NIV
I am slow; therefore I am thankful God is not slow to keep His promises.
We all know the disappointment of breaking our word to God. Thankfully His Word is never broken. I pray each broken promise of ours finds healing, strength, and compassion in God’s resolve. I pray we are being prepared for that hour.
As we look to God and His new heavens and earth may we be prepared and help prepare others for that final day. We are all sinners and can be thankful Christ died for us and may we grow in righteousness.
The last verse in 2 Peter instructs us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” I am growing LORD and I need You to do Your work in me to help me grow and be cleansed by YOU.
Are you thankful God is patient with you?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for Your patience and Your grace. LORD, You made me and know me and my heart. My flesh is weak and I confess all of my sins to You. I trust You to grow me in grace and knowledge of Jesus. I trust Your love and pray Your love and Your Spirit cleanse every hidden and known place in me. Amen

Me too, Tom. I’ve wondered if surely I don’t wear Him out, but right here, it says He’s patient with me! Thank you.

For sure Julie. I am so thankful for His patience and trust He knows me and is preparing me. I pray to learn and continue to grow in His patience! Blessings and patience! Thank you!

Without His patience I would be in really big trouble. 🙂 I agree with all you said except, “we are all sinners.” No we aren’t because those of us that have accepted Christ as our Savior have been redeemed by His blood. I still sin but in God’s eyes I am not a sinner. Unbelievers are sinners. Good post though.

Thank you Sue! I too am thankful for His blood and for what He sees with His eyes. Blessings and patience!
