Share the post "Affirmation of God: I am praying to the great and powerful God, the LORD Almighty."
Today’s Scripture: Jeremiah 32:18 NLT Tyndale: You are loving and kind to thousands, though children suffer for their parent’s sins. You are the great and powerful God, the LORD Almighty.
As I read Jeremiah’s prayer it reminded me of the mind blowing privilege we have to pray to the LORD who made the heavens and earth with His great power (Jeremiah 32:16 NLT).
Just this morning He reminded me how He will take away those things that we trust in besides Him. He did it in Ezekiel and Jeremiah’s times to the Israelites and He does it with us today. We lose what we trust in only to find it was silly to trust in anything other than Him, this great and powerful God.
Like Jeremiah, in 32 8: “Then I knew for sure this message I had heard was from the LORD.” Has He removed all of your doubt too?
After Jeremiah affirmed who God is, he acknowledged that “nothing is too hard for you!” Don’t we know this for sure as well? Let’s just keep praying to our great and powerful God, the LORD Almighty and know He is hearing us and will prove Himself to us.
Do you acknowledge God’s greatness when you approach Him?
Today’s Prayer: LORD Almighty, You are the great and powerful God who made all the heavens and the earth. I praise Your name and confess that You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. Thank You for speaking to us through Your word and so much more. Your Spirit, Your timing, Your Word, Your ways have removed all doubt from me. I know You are the LORD and I am eternally grateful for the freedom You give me to pray to You. All blessings are Yours. Amen
