Today’s Scripture: Daniel 2:30 NLT: And it is not because I am wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but because God wants you to understand what was in your heart.
One thing I do love about this Affirmatic study of scripture is how different translations and different days bring certain scriptures to life.
This particular verse today hit me, well, right in the heart. King Nebuchadnezzar received his secret in a dream as he slept. Could it be that simple? Can I just be still and rest and God, who already knows and wants me to know, will impress upon me His secrets?
It is no secret to our God in Heaven and He wants us to know. God may reveal our secrets through someone as wise and faithful as Daniel or it may well be some other way. But He will.
Let us do as Daniel urged Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and ask the God of Heaven to show us His mercy by telling us the secret.
I want to know God’s secrets in my heart, don’t you?
Today’s Prayer: My God in Heaven, please reveal Your secrets so I may know what You have planted in my heart. I want to bring You glory and honor LORD. I trust You to reveal Your secrets in Your perfect timing. My heart is Yours LORD and I want to know what You want me to know. Amen
