Today’s Scripture: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Matthew 1:23 ESV
And they shall call His name Immanuel, which means, GOD WITH US. No this is not only a Christmas message this is today’s reality. Jesus came to teach us that God is with us and He came to live among us.
Prior to ascending to sit at the right hand of the Father Jesus Himself told us in John 16:7 that He must go so that He could send us the Counselor, the Advocate, the Helper, the Comforter and our Redeemer. In any translation, in many forms this Holy Spirit is with us now.
Can we grasp the NOW-ness? Can we grasp His being with us in the ordinary? Being with God is not some future event. He is with us now. God is both out there and in here. His light shines upon us, in us and through us right NOW.
Do you believe that God is with you today to make your ordinary extraordinary?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for not only being my Heavenly Father but my Father who is with me now. Father thank You for sending Jesus to us so we could grasp His oneness with You and to teach us You are with us now. LORD, help me to grasp living with you and teaching others of your present nature. Amen
