Today’s Scripture: For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. Psalms 30:5 ESV
Joy will always follow our tears. How uplifting is the hope we feel knowing joy will come with the morning.
Planning to update my first writing on this passage I enjoyed the feelings of knowing we are promised joy after we endure the darkness. However, God impressed upon me recently how little control we have. Who among us can control the rising of the sun or moon? We have no control.
Likewise, I have to trust the LORD for joy. I know He is bringing me joy just as surely as He is bringing the sunrise of a new day. It is God who brings me this new day and it is God who is the source of my joy.
I can endure any darkness trusting in God’s joy. I have experienced His joy that is like no other and when times are dark I know and expect His joy to appear.
Have you experienced God’s joy? If not, cry out to Him for help.
Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, thank You for Your joy. Thank You for being my helper in the storms and darkness of this life. LORD, You are so faithful to hear my cries and You are so faithful to bring a new day of joy. I give You all honor and praise and put my trust in this day and for joy in Your hands. Thank You for this joy You alone place in my heart. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
Without His joy life isn’t worth living.
Thanks Bill, how deceiving life can be. When I sought after “happiness” I only robbed myself of joy. When you are on either side, it is hard to imagine! God is good, thank you brother!
Amen Tom! Your words today speak to all of us and inspire us. May the Lord shine his light on you today 🙂 Love you – sis

You are so right Tom! Life doesn’t promise us joy. It promises us change. But God promises us joy in the midst of every change good and bad. May we be found in Him claiming our inheritance in the saints which is joy and peace in the Holy Ghost! Thanks
Not just a promise but an inheritance! Thanks jelillie!!
AMEN! Thank you for this beautiful post!
Refreshing words of Living Water!
I join you in your JOY, Tom…
“Comforting it is then to know that pain
Yields sweet flowers after the falling rain.
So rejoice in all things, yes, even in trial;
Trust in God’s sweet love, sing and smile!
And dishearten not when pain you find
Brief it is – and soon to be left behind.
Fix your eyes instead on the crown in store;
Focus on Heaven, yes, each day more.
For a power to pain our LORD does give,
Joy He brings to us, as for Him we live.”
God bless you and your heart for His Kingdom!
May He continue to fill your heart with joy!
Beautiful words Caroline reflecting the joy found in the Father whether beauty or pain! He is JOY! Blessings!!

Thank you Caroline, and to you always!!
GOD’s joy, in CHRIST, is always a blessings to us. Thanks be to You, LORD JESUS CHRIST, for being the Light inside of us. We NEED You, desperately, for all things. Whenever we smile, we laugh (cleanly), whenever we appreciate Your beautiful creations in nature, and in other people, whenever we appreciate YOU, JESUS, i feel Your Peace. JOY is the icing on the cake, and a step beyond that wonderful peace. it’s when we forget for a second, and stop thinking so much, and there is it. like a bliss that could only have come from You, JESUS. So thank You LORD, for Your Joy.
A lovely reminder: the Blessing of the LORD’s JOY, in us, through & by HIM, JESUS CHRIST. PRAISE to You, LORD JESUS CHRIST. 🙂
