Today’s Scripture: I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. Psalm 57:2 ESV
Are you busy trying to fulfill your purpose or are you trusting it is God who fulfills it? Sometimes I feel I am cornered in a cave as David was by wondering what my next move should be. Here in Psalm 57, David tells us to turn our focus and our hearts from our purpose to trusting in God.
In various translations David shares that the affirmations of our hearts should be:
- My heart is steadfast in God.
- My heart is confident in God.
- My heart is fixed on God.
- My heart is committed to God.
- My heart is determined in God.
- My heart sings praises to God.
- My heart is prepared.
- My heart is ready, Oh God.
If our hearts are in God, the Most High, He will fulfill His purpose for us. Where is your heart?
Today’s Prayer: God Most High, I sing praises to You. I give You all of my heart. Please help me LORD to keep my heart fixed on You. My heart and soul take refuge in You. Draw my heart to You O LORD. Grant me Your confidence that You will fulfill Your purpose for me. Not me LORD but You. Amen
