Share the post "Affirmation of God: Falling flat on my face before the LORD is a good thing."
Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 1:28 NLT Tyndale: All around him was a glowing halo, like a rainbow shining through the clouds. This was the way the glory of the LORD appeared to me. When I saw it, I fell face down in the dust, and I heard someone’s voice speaking to me.
To say “I have fallen flat on my face” usually means we have messed up in human terms. Somehow that is supposed to be a sign of embarrassment and looking foolish in front of others.
Here in Ezekiel He fell on His face each time the LORD appeared to Him. The LORD even told him not to worry about whether the people of Israel listened or not. Do not fear them“you must give them my message whether they listen or not.”
The LORD will prepare us and He will give us what He wants us to say. We do not share what He has told us for acceptance of man but out of obedience to Him, right? Are we worried about falling on our face before man or God?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I fall on my face before You. I am open to You and receive what You give. Be clear and specific with what You will have me say. I ask for Your words to sink deep into my heart. Show me the responsibilities You will hold me accountable for. Remove all my fear of man and all concern as to whether they listen to me or not. Keep Your hand upon me LORD to share the messages You give me. Amen

Fear without words is overwhelming, unfathomably, goes deep into the soul. But when you put words to it, it becomes a reality that with God and “your face on the ground” it becomes conquerable! Thanks my brother.

Thanks Allen. Flat on my face is where I feel most able to conquer anything the world has to offer! At our lowest we reach His highest!

Whenever I ask God to put the words in my mouth that He wants me to say, I am reminded, too, to ask Him to put His hand OVER my mouth, if need be. Sometimes, that is the answer I receive… and I just need to follow.
Thanks again, Tom, for letting God use your words to teach others!

Hi Tom, wanted to agree with you on your prayer for today. Our Youth Pastor, is always saying to the youth “fall on your face before, your maker, and get right with him” and it is so true. Sometimes, I think we don’t fear God enough, do you know what I mean ? We serve an all powerful God, and should be held accountable for all our actions. It, is our duty, to share the gospel with others, and seek God to give us the facility, and the words to share. Thanks,Tom always look forward to reading your blog. You are a blessing to me.

Thanks Lize, great to hear from you again and I appreciate the agreement! I do know what you mean about fear and in addition to a loving respect for Him I believe in a healthy dose of respect for who He says He is and what He says He requires! I am thankful for and blessed by your presence and words!

Sometimes the only response is to fall flat on our face. The holiness of God and my sinfulness should elicit that response. Good word Tom. Sorry I am late here.
Tom Raines says
Thanks for responding Bill, sorry for my late response. I have been out of town for a few days. Bless you! Yes out of our praise, respect and love of Him we fall flat! Blessings to you!

A wonderful prayer and one I pray much to have no fear of men, but only a fear of God.
