Today’s Scripture: John 14:31 ESV-but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.
Affirmations are just words until there are actions, right? We can state these desires with our lips yet we must believe it in our hearts and actually go. Do you know it is time to rise and go? Are you living like you believe?
We know when we are not living as we believe don’t we? John 14 is so full of Jesus’ promises and instructions to how we are to live that each time I visit there I find more affirmation. In these 31 verses, I currently have 120 different affirmations; all different ways of claiming God’s truth for me.
At what point do I set aside only the words and rise and go and do what the Father has commanded me? Do you ever wonder what God wants you to do?
Clearly in John 14:4 Jesus tells us that WE KNOW THE WAY. He is the way and if we believe in Him we will rise and go.
Is it time for you to rise and go? God is in you and will show you the way. Believe it.
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the life and example of Jesus Christ. Thank You for the Helper who gives me instruction. Forgive me Father for not living as I believe. I ask You in the name of Jesus Christ to help me live as You have called me to live so that You and the world will know that I love You. Amen
