Today’s Scripture: And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40 ESV
Loaded; this truth from Jesus is loaded full of hope and danger isn’t it? Jesus is here, do you see Him? The Holy Spirit speaks; what will we do with it? It seems to me we can go from great goodness to great evil in this statement. What I do I do to Him.
In a flash can’t we see what we do to Him when we are helping to feed the hungry or using what He has given us for the kingdom and then switch to say ouch, I did THAT to Jesus? On this holy week I see how fickle we humans can be. We can waive palms and sing Hosanna in the Highest one moment and scream crucify Him in the next.
The great thing is we can practice doing what is right. We can allow our one and only teacher to guide us and correct us. He is our teacher, our Father who cleanses us from the inside out. He opens our eyes to see Him. He helps us to stay alert and be ready for Him and His triumphant return. Let’s watch for Him and feed others along the way. After all we are doing it to Him.
Today’s Prayer: Father God thank You for Your word that lasts forever. Cleanse me Father and open my eyes to You and those around me that You wish for me to do Your will. Help me to invest what You have given me into Your Kingdom and Your people. Help me to see You in all those around me. LORD, keep me focused on You and Your powerful and glorious return. Help me to remain ready and doing Your business. Amen

Thank you, Tom, for making me more aware.
Meg, thank you for your encouraging spirit!
Thanks, Tom. Needed this today: “Help me to see You in all those around me.”
Thanks Dustin! He will open our eyes! Help us LORD!
Good thought this morning Tom. “Whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Thank you Bill! Maybe that will change my perspective when I say “whatever” to my wife. God can change me from the inside to change my whatevers….thank you for the scriptural reminder!!
Great food for thought. I never thought of how we did and can turn our thoughts on a dime in a completely different direction.
Thanks for the reminder that we should do for the least of these.
Thanks babe!
