Today’s Scripture: But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; Lamentations 3:21-22 ESV
What gives you hope? Lamentations seems to be an odd place to find hope. These people endured a hopelessness you and I will most likely never face. Starvation, death and destruction were all around them yet the writer of Lamentations recognized the only source of hope.
No matter how bad things may become it is God’s never ending love and mercy that give us hope. How refreshing is it in verse 23 that we are reminded that His mercies are new every morning.
Today is a new day and we are refreshed with the love and mercy of the LORD. It is a new day filled with hope. No matter what we face today we can remember that the LORD loves us. In His love we find hope.
Do you need to start fresh remembering His love today?
Today’s Prayer: Great is your faithfulness dear LORD. Thank You for Your love for me. Help me to examine my ways and return to You. I lift my heart and my hands to You and trust in Your love. Show me Your ways O LORD. Thank You for drawing near when I call on You. Help me know Your presence. All of my hope lies in You. Amen

Tom, Thank you for today’s affirmation. It is just what I needed to hear. I have taken the paragraph starting “Today is…” and printed it out and placed it on my mirror in the bathroom so I can read it every day. Thank you my friend.
I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend.
