Today’s Scripture: For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. Matthew 13:12 ESV
I have been feeling there is more to do. In reality there is more to give. I have found God’s abundance in this Affirmation of God journey and I must give it away.
As I went through the prayer Jesus gave to us this morning and came to “give us our daily bread” the Spirit struck me that I don’t give enough.
I will continue to ask God for His daily bread, and I will increase my giving it away. What does that look like? I am not really sure. Money, I do not have, but what I do have I will give it away.
I have been given God’s abundance; an abundance of love, peace and joy. God told me I would find these affirmations in His Word and I want to give away the abundance I have found there.
What do you have? Give it away and more will be given.
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for what You have given me. I know more will be given and I know Your Spirit will guide me. I pray to share the way You have given me Your love, peace and joy. LORD I pray others will come to know Your abundance and trust they too already have enough to give. Amen

I have found there is more in me to give away than I know.
Amen Joseph, we ALL have more than we know. Thank you for giving me encouragement and presence, may we know how much giving those things spur others on…. The evil one has come to rob, kill and destroy and many times it is by blinding us or making us embarrassed for what we have…Yet in God, in the grace of Jesus Christ we all have a redemption story that can be given away. When we give away what Christ has done for us, it is enough…and then more will be given. May we give away what we have even though we don’t think it is worthy. God is worthy. I pray today we give away what we have been so freely given!

Thanks Tom. This is a good word. I sense many of us are being called to give more and even sometimes to give out of what we view as our need. When we do then God is free to fill up the empty space with abundance. One of the hardest things for me to give is more time. I already feel so busy and yet God calls me to do more. When I respond I find that He gives me more efficiency in my work space and actually shows me ways to rest in the labor.
With writing a blog, Tom…I’ve discovered that each week He’s so faithful to send me an idea. When I first started 3 1/2 years ago, I remembered thinking, Ahhhhh! How will I come up with something fresh and new every Wednesday, but I just keep coming to Him and He provides. He turns my little into lots! Thanks for all you do in encouraging us. 🙂
Thank you Julie. I had that fleeting thought several years ago that I would eventually run out of scriptures. I wanted to harvest affirmations from every chapter in the bible and then what??!! Well, I no longer fear running out of material either. I have found each and every time I go to His Word He speaks in a new light. It boggles my mind that I am starting to push 900 blogs and have over 15,000 affirmations captured that I have not begun to scratch the surface and there is no end…I pray to be faithful with the little I have and trust Him for the rest. I too have already experienced that more will be given! Blessings my friend and I am thankful for what He provides you!
