Today’s Scripture: Daniel 2:23 NLT Tyndale: I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength.
What has God given you? Do you believe God will give you what you need when you need it? In beginning the book of Daniel today, one thing that was impressed upon me was that the God of heaven will give us what we need to complete His will.
It is clear that God can and will influence others and ourselves for His kingdom. God made Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah (yes, these are the three guys that were given the Babylonian names of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) stand out in the minds of the chief officials who were to select gifted young men.
God “gave” these four young men unusual aptitude and special abilities. Do you think God still does this today? Ok, some of us didn’t get the smarts that He gave them but I believe He gives us what we need.
Like Daniel here in verse 2:23, I thank and praise God for what He has given me. And also like Daniel explains to the King in 2:30 I know that I am not wiser than any living person but God will use me to help others understand what is in their hearts.
How is God influencing your perception with others and what gifts has He given you to help others?
Today’s Prayer: God of heaven, I praise Your name forever and ever for You alone have all wisdom and power. I have made up my mind to only feed on You. Please use Your power to use me and protect me from myself and my flesh. Please influence those You desire to trust me and grant me what I need to help them understand their hearts. I thank You and praise You. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
“You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.” Luke 1:45 and
“As surely as God is faithful, my word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.”” 2 Corinthians 1:18-19 come to mind. We Need to believe that God will do what he says.
Thanks Kimberly, yes I was thinking as I read this morning that there is peace and confidence knowing that some way, some how, God changes others and ourselves and equips us to do what His will requires. There are indeed blessings in just believing and knowing that He will do what He said. It is all about seeking His will and trusting His promises. About Him, not us! Bless you!
What a beautiful prayer….” I have made up my mind to only feed on You. Please use Your power to use me and protect me from myself and my flesh.”
I needed that today.
Thank you Missy, I am thankful you stopped by again and am praying thanksgiving you received what you needed. Bless you! Praying a prayer of thanksgiving for you now!
