Today’s Scripture: Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua and had known all the work that the LORD did for Israel. Joshua 24:31 ESV
Choose this day who YOU will serve. I came to this famous verse of Joshua 24:15 to write about “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” For my house to serve the LORD I must first serve the LORD. How can I expect those in my house to serve if I do not?
Joshua was clear that for us to fully serve the LORD our God we must put away all other foreign Gods. God clears the way for us today just as he did for the tribes of Israel. It was not by their strength or their might but the LORD who fought their battles.
He is fighting ours and providing victory. We can dwell securely and serve Him sincerely and faithfully. I serve the LORD who has given me so much. The LORD is my God and I will serve Him.
Do you choose to serve the LORD?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for all You have done for Your people. I trust You to win my battles just as You did for the tribes of Israel. I know it is in Your strength and in Your miracles that I will be victorious. I know my strength is not the source of victory but in serving You above all other gods. LORD, You are my God and I choose to serve You. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
One of my favorite verse when I hear it, it does something in my spirit. I was glad when they said to me let’s go into the house of the Lord. nothing like being in His house
Amen Desiray, NOTHING like it! I LOVE how God has made our spirits come alive in Him. The FULLNESS of life is found in His house! Blessings and I know your park trip was kingdom building. I think it is supernatural that my Thursday’s do not pass without God bringing you to my mind on your Park Ministry day! Thanks for leading the way!
So glad to be catching up with you Tom. I came to this choice once again two years ago when a life-altering situation arose. God said to me “Will you walk what you have preached or will you let this draw you away from me.” I am so glad by His grace I was kept and able to choose Jesus in the midst of my pain. Today I can say as for me and my house I will serve the Lord for HE alone is our source and strength!
Amen jelillie! I too PRAISE God for those painful things in my life that brought me to the life altering experience that drew me to Him. HE ALONE> Blessings to you jellilie. I also look to catching up with you when things slow down a bit around here! Blessings and service!
Thank you so much Tom, for showing us this and bringing us the questions we need to answer. Somehow you made it all a lot clearer . . .serving God is my choice too. 🙂 What else could we do? God bless you and thank you for affirming Jesus in our lives!
Thank you Debbie! Choosing to serve Him with all we are is such a freeing and hope filled decision isn’t it. A life full of purpose and passion is found in the LORD! Blessings as you serve Him. Thank you for your faithfulness and I look forward to catching up with your soon!
