Today’s Scripture: “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” Mark 9:37 ESV
Who will you receive God through today? As we welcome and receive others we receive God.
Just as the children here In Mark 9, those we receive may not even be aware of what they are bringing to us. With a heart to welcome others we experience God through them. Receiving others with love we find love; the love of God that will astonish us.
We are called to serve others and in serving we find God. Welcome the conversations and needs of others and see what you receive. Just as the Word of God speaks to us the words carried by others speak to us.
God knows what we need to hear and we may just hear it by listening to others. We experience God by being at peace with everyone.

Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the teachings of Jesus. Soften my heart to hear Him and to hear those You bring to me. LORD, give me a welcoming heart and I thank You for the words You cause to resound in me. You LORD know what I need to receive and give. Amen

In all the turmoil the world is in today, we must surely remember to receive others in the love of God! Great reminder Tom! We must show His love & share His love & to listen to others around us! Lord, Help us to be Blessings & be more like Jesus.

This really blessed me, Tom. Such a tendency to be on guard or suspicious of others .. .but this receiving them in love and the love of God then. .. that’s where I want to be! Thank you and God bless you!
p.s. Our special needs gal was using sign language in the car today . .signing Jesus, over and over. It was just one of those moments . .a receiving from God moment.
Ow wow, Deb, the ways God can reveal His love to us from others. That must have be so special to see Jesus signed over and over.
