Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 57:13 NLT: Let’s see if your idols can save you when you cry to them for help. Why, a puff of wind can knock them down! If you just breathe on them, they fall over! But whoever trusts in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.”
So many times our minds race and we think of all kinds of things when we attempt to pray. We can walk away at times feeling guilty that we didn’t give God our best during His “time”.
Just maybe the LORD is telling us to give Him those things too. Can’t we trust the LORD with ALL we are holding onto? Are there some idols we trust in more, like ourselves, our experience and our knowledge? Can we trust that some of those things idols that pop in our mind are really things God wants to be involved in too?
Just a thought, as my mind raced this morning and I felt refuge and peace in trusting the LORD for those things too. To inherit our land and possess our holy mountain we must trust God with all we have.
Will you put all of your thoughts and needs in the trust of the LORD?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, Help me to put all my trusts in You. I want You Father God to be involved in all of my things, all of my decisions and put my trust that the thoughts I have are Your thoughts. Consume me LORD and blow away all idols I place before You. I know You will answer my call and embrace my trust. Amen
