Today’s Scripture: During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Hebrews 5:7 NIV
Jesus cried out and passionately prayed to the Father while He was in the flesh, shouldn’t we? Fervent and passionate prayer lifting up our voices and weeping tears to God the Father. No matter what we face today He who is able to save us is there for us.
God, in reverence to You I want to submit everything to You. I know Jesus’ death redeemed me once and for all and I pray I live in reverent submission to You today and every day. God I pray I submit to You in all things. I lift up my voice in joy, pain and bewilderment at times but like Jesus I will cry out to You.
Thank You for hearing us mighty God and for helping us with our reverent submission. I know You can save us.
Today’s Prayer: I cry out to You Father God. Like Your son Jesus, I lift up my voice and praise You and thank You for hearing me. I need You to feed me today so I will be strong in my faith and my obedience. Break my heart LORD for You and help me to reverently submit all things to You. God I want You to be able to trust me in the small as well as the large things. Help me to mature into obedience that pleases You. Amen

Thanks for the reminder today, Tom… that it is, in fact, okay to cry out to Him. He is there, available, and waiting for us.
Thank you Dustin!
Jesus, Son of God and son of man. Such a mystery. But I am so thankful He did limit Himself to the restraint and boundaries of His flesh. This way we can see how we should be based on the fact that He really knows what it is like to be us! Woo-hoo!
Late to this party, sorry. Still a great reminder and affirmation, Tom!
Thanks Donald, wouldn’t have loved to hear Jesus’ prayers to the Father??!! Visit when you can I know you are a busy man!
Passionate prayer is a hard one. God has really done work in me when it comes to prayer, still have a long way to go. Sometimes us guys hate getting our emotions involved with God, even when no one else is around.
Thanks Andy, yes I can totally relate and yes the Holy Spirit shows us emotions we didn’t know we even had. As we keep going to Him and seeking to Know Him, He reveals Himself in powerful and emothional ways when we are one on one! Awesome stuff!!
