Today’s Scripture: who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 ESV
I thank God for the comfort He has given me. Paul makes this clear to us here that God is the God of ALL comfort. Why has God comforted me?
So I may comfort others. The thanksgivings and praise I have because of my comfort is my gift to others. Paul suffered with and for Christ and shared his hope with us. Jesus gave us all of God’s promises so we can give them away.
We were not given comfort to only be comfortable. We were given comfort to be able to comfort others. What comfort have you been given in your life?
Will you give away today the comfort and hope you have been given?
Giving away what we have been given is more than enough in Him.
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the comfort and hope You have given me. Open my eyes and my heart to those needing what You have given me. Fill me with readiness to give it all away. In You I know I am able and filled with comfort. Use me LORD God to share my sufferings and my hope. Amen

Amen, thank you jelillie!
Amen!
Thank you for indeed offering to others the comfort and hope God has given you, Tom!
Precious, Lord Jesus, is the comfort and hope You give to me;
Through even the darkest of days, Your radiant light I see.
Generously may I share this comfort with those around me too;
Selflessly may I give that others see in me a reflection of You.
Glorious is Your comfort, sweet, heartwarming and divine;
This gift You have given, Lord, and I shall share what is mine!
May God continue to bless you, dear brother in Christ, as you faithfully serve Him! 🙂
And thank you Caroline for sharing the comfort you have been given by the gift His blood for us. As you shared so beautifully today, when cleansed by Him all things come alive. In this is comfort we are to give. Blessings my sister as you honor Him!
Love this, Tom! His gift of comfort to us is one we just can’t keep to ourselves. It’s too good not to share! God bless you and be your constant comfort!
Thank you Deb! Blessings to you as you share the comfort He has given you! BTW, do you ever sleep? I know why I thought you were from Israel one time because of your middle of the night responses! May God bless your kingdom work!
Tom,
I am only just now responding to this b/c the day of this affirmation I was in too much discomfort (pain) to give proper time to my emails. Since then God has comforted me (with the help of His faithful servant and fellow AofF follower, Cindy). I pray I can be a comfort to others as they have been to me.
Katy, thanks for catching up and I am praying for you right now. Praying your pain is lessoned and praising God for an awesome friend like Cindy (for you and me)! May God give you the perseverance to endure as well as comfort, healing and strength. He is our comfort and our strength! Blessings and comfort!
