Today’s Scripture: A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3 ESV
Father God in no way am I attempting to add to Your Word and I praise You for Your Words and the voices that cry out to and for me.
I will let theologians and naysayers debate this prophesy from Isaiah. I know Jesus had John the Baptist crying out. I also know WE have voices too. Voices that cry out for us: voices preparing the way of the LORD.
Just in the past two days two of my loyal SISters of Affirmations of God both have cried out and shared these very scriptures and practice. We may not be aware of these voices but they are there and they are crying out for us.
Someone is or has cried out for you to prepare the way of the LORD and to make your highway straight; are you thankful? Who will you cry out for today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God I give You all praise and glory. Thank You for Your Word and for those voices that have cried out for me. I pray Your Spirit keeps me mindful of those I may cry out for. I pray we prepare Your way O LORD. I pray we make straight a highway for You. You are my voice LORD help me to cry out. Amen

Thanks for sharing God’s Word. May God bless you and make you a blessing to many.
Thank you Charlie! Blessings and voice.
Oh, SO Beautiful, brother Tom. Today it is overcast outside, and my heart/thoughts were echoing the gray “nothing”. But then, after reading more of Isaiah, the Lord and I were washing dishes together–and I began to praise Him for WHO HE IS. I speak to Him so casually: “A million thank you’s, Lord”, I told Him; and reminded Him that my “mood” had nothing at all to do with Him. He knows that already, and as He inhabits the praises (thanks and worship) of His children, my mood was soon transformed and filled with His Glory. Tom, we know He cares about the BIG things in our lives–but He cares equally as much about the little grudging things as well. Oh how glad I am that He calls me His beloved–for that, He is to me. God bless you with an outpouring of blessings, a reminder of ALL that YOU ARE to HIM–love, sis Caddo
Thank you Sis! That is my experience too…when I have NOTHING but praise for Him it is ENOUGH! If all I have to offer is praise, it is plentiful. In return for praises for who HE is we find who WE are in Him. We have a voice of praise even if it comes from our darkness. That voice shows the light of God! Blessings and praise in your voice!
