Today’s Scripture: “When you give blind animals as sacrifices, isn’t that wrong? And isn’t it wrong to offer animals that are crippled and diseased? Try giving gifts like that to your governor, and see how pleased he is!” says the LORD Almighty. Malachi 1:8 NLT Tyndale
I will give the LORD my best today. To Him are the first of everything; my time, my efforts and my resources. I am embarrassed really as to what I too often give Him. Do I give Him only what’s left over? Have I been guilty of giving Him only what is crippled and diseased? Isn’t that wrong?
The great news is that the LORD does not change. I know I have cheated Him with my tithes, my offerings of what I have to give. Have you? I just love His Word and His promise that He will return to us when we return to Him. I am thankful for His promises to prove Himself faithful.
He has sent us His messengers and given us a message of life and peace. There is such freedom in giving Him our best. Just as He says in Malachi 4:2 we will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. Let’s just give Him our best and run free. Can’t you see the green pastures ahead? There is such freedom in giving and trusting in Him.
Today’s Prayer: Forgive me Father God for cheating you. I know that I have not given You my best. I commit my best to You and trust in Your promises. I believe You will open up the windows of Heaven to me just as You promised. I am thankful for Your messengers and Your deep love for me. In You I find freedom, life and peace. I praise Your Name. Amen
