Today’s Scripture: who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 ESV
Why has the God of all comfort given comfort to me for my afflictions? So I can give His comfort to you. In ALL of my afflictions God is my comfort and I stand on the hope He will be yours.
Like Paul in 2 Corinthians I want to share abundantly in the sufferings and the comfort of Jesus Christ. Why has God comforted me? To give this His comfort away; not for me but for others needing comfort. Because of the comfort I have experienced my hope for you is unshakable.
At the end of our strength is where we find God and come to rely on His strength and His Spirit. God will continue to deliver us. You and I can pray for each other and for those we know needing comfort. We can give our prayers and our comfort knowing God is faithful.

Today’s Prayer: God of comfort, thank You for the comfort You have given me. Use me to share Your comfort for those in need. I pray for those needing comfort and share my afflictions and my hope with them. You are God and You have given us Your Spirit and Your unshakable hope to give away. Amen

Just saw your post. Does Satan ever speak to you after speaking words of comfort to someone, to ruffle the water in your mind. Just Sunday evening I was reminding a friend that regardless of the circumstances or situations I have ever faced, God has brought me through. Not always like I thought he would but he brought me through and with a closer relationship with him. I came home and then yesterday it was like someone just knocked me off my path, and I was the one needing comforted. Thanks be to God, I have learned where to seek my help. I went to God and crawled up in his big arms and poured myself out to him. There is no such comfort as in the Presence of Jehovah. And the God of Peace and Comfort, help me to continue to bring comfort to others even on those days, I am seeking comfort myself. Love you, Brother Tom. Cannot wait to meet you in eternity.
Thank you Patsy, great to hear from you! What a wonderful testimony you have shared in where our comfort comes from. We can turn back to Him regardless of what Satan or anything else sends at us. LOVE your description of “I went to God and crawled up in his big arms and poured myself out to him.” He is faithful to provide the comfort that is needed and fuels your testimony to share with the next person you know that needs comfort.
