Today’s Scripture: For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4 ESV
I am filled with hope and encouragement through the Holy Scriptures. I wish I could describe the amazement, the joy, the love, the confidence and yes the voice of God I find there.
Paul could boldly proclaim this and so can I. God’s Word speaks specifically into our present life. We are the Lord’s and His Scriptures are for us. We experience the Spirit of God in action.
Jesus died and rose again so we could all be the Lord’s. If we go to the Scriptures with a spirit of wanting to honor the Lord, we learn what pleases Him and we find love, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. You will find what you need in His Word.
Will you go and find what the Holy Spirit wants to bless you with today? I would love to hear from you the hope and encouragement you find there.
Today’s Prayer: LORD God Almighty, thank You for Your Holy Scriptures. You and Your Spirit bless me beyond measure. Thank You for speaking into my life and I pray all others know the power, hope and encouragement You have given to us in Your Scriptures. Thank You for welcoming us into Your Holy of Holies. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
My post today was about holding on to hope. Must have read each others’ minds.
The Holy Spirit flows doesn’t he Bill?! The source of all of our hope. I am hopping over to see you. Wish I was smart enough how to get you in my WordPress reader…I have been very limited on time lately. Praying the Holy Spirit will also fill me with organization and His time management! Well, on second thought, He has yet I continue to seek other things…but that is another story and lesson for another day that I do have hope and encouragement that He will continue to guide my way and I will come to trust and rely on His plan:) Blessings my friend!
Brother Tom,
I rejoice in life itself and that God has given me a second chance to do more of his work here on earth. One year ago today, I had a triple bypass to fix problems that had dragged me down for more years than I realized. I feel like I am twenty years younger, and along with that revitalization, I am driven daily to seek God for his guidance throughout the day. As I look for his guidance, I see his works in everything I do and I give him thanks throughout the day.
So yes, daily I am filled with his hope and encouragement anf the excitement of the day.
Bobby
Praise the LORD brother Bobby! Amazing how our darkest moments are what bring us into His light. In His light, In His Word and In Him we come to know a hope, an encouragement, an excitement, a joy……and so many other blessings of His fullness for each new day! I still have hope in our working together and I apologize for letting the tyranny of the urgent block the work we know we have before us. Call me when you get a minute:) Love you and thanks for sharing! I join you in your thanksgivings for a second chance. Our God is most definitely a God of second chances!
Here’s some good stuff from my morning’s reading, Tom: Number 23:19-24. (I’ll just pull out a few things)–“Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?…The Lord their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox….It will now be said…’See what God has done!’ The people rise like a lioness”. Indeed He has brought us out of our separate and personal Egypts–we have reason to shout! With and IN Him, we’re now strong as oxes and lionesses! Yay, GOD!!! May He bless you BIG today–love, sis Caddo
Look what God has done! LORD has spoken and His promises can not be revoked! Thanks for taking me there sis. All of these words give us hope and encouragement in the promises of our LORD, the God of Israel. Bless you BIG sis!!…something in that next chapter speaks to me today too: Numbers 24:13…I can not go beyond the word of the LORD….we are safe, we are oxes and lionesses in His promises for sure and we don’t need to look beyond His promises to us:) Have a great BIG day!
Oooh, that’s good, Tom! We don’t need to look Beyond His promises–if I’m taking this right, we don’t need to look for a ‘buffer’ or “back up plan” to His promises. If I’m off course, here–please help me out! Thanks, Bro–love, sis Caddo
With God you are never off course my sister! He is faithful to fill us with what we need and to speak to us in our own tongue:) BIG blessings as you are filled!
Thank you for getting us excited and hopeful about His Word and promises, Tom. Today I read “The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us . ..” Psalm 115:12. God bless you and encourage you yet more and more!
Thank you Deb for your kind words and for your sharing of the Word:) Thank you for being a messenger of God’s encouragement!
