Today’s Scripture: This letter is from Jude, a slave to Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who are called to live in the love of God the Father and the care of Jesus Christ. Jude 1 NLT Tyndale
Wow, Jude you pack a wallop. Just 25 verses long this book speaks loudly. Have you ever wondered what your “calling” is? You hear people speaking about being “called” and there are many books written about finding your calling.
Look no further. Jude, who some say was the brother of Jesus shows our true calling. We are to live in the love of God. If we live there we will know our calling. Pretty simple, huh? No waiting for a sign or a booming voice or circumstances to show us our way.
Just simply live in the love of God. Living in the love of God, His Holy Spirit and His Word teach us the truth of the Good News. Living there we can defend the Word, not because we just know it but because we have lived it. Our lives, all of it, are part of the Good News as we share how His love and His direction of the Holy Spirit has saved us and called us for the love and care for others. Are you living your calling?
Today’s Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for calling me into Your love. Help me to live there. Help me to live love so others know You and Your love. Thank You for allowing me to receive more and more of Your mercy, peace and love. I celebrate with great joy the blessing of living in Your love. Amen
