Today’s Scripture: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 ESV
Whether I hear God today does not make God real or not. Many times we have taken these words from Isaiah and thought if I hear the Lord asking who He should send I will say: “here I am, send me.”
Have we already heard Him and yet not gone? Have we heard and just not perceived? This was, after all, the message that God sent Isaiah to deliver. “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive; keep on looking, but do not understand.” (Isaiah 6:9 NASB)
We are told here in these verses if we turn to God we will be healed. We just need to turn and be available to Him and trust His ways.
Are you available to God today? Here am I! Send me.
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I trust You. Thank You for allowing me to approach Your throne. Thank You for speaking through Your Word and Your prophets. I am here LORD, listening and seeking Your Word; help me to understand Your will. Help me to turn to you and to be available even if I do not understand. You alone are holy. Amen.
