Today’s Scripture: A Prayer of one afflicted, when he is faint and pours out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry come to you! Psalm 102:1 ESV
Where are you now? Are you at a point of crying out to the LORD?
No matter where we are or the nature of our prayers we can humbly ask the LORD to hear us. For three nights I have served as the night watchman for my father-in-law Jimbo as he lies in the hospital ravaged by a stroke. I have witnessed prayer. I know God hears all of our prayers, yet I ask.
I have been reminded constantly over the past few days from my friend Mae’s post at the Believer’s Diary; http://maelorenzo.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/how-to-respond/ . Mae said “I have already fainted”. Not when will I faint but I know I have already fainted. It is here in my fainting I ask the LORD to hear me.
I have fainted LORD, hear my prayer.
Have you fainted?
Psalm 102 also says we gather with the peoples to worship the LORD, will you also gather with me to lift prayers for Jimbo?
Today’s Prayer: Hear my prayer, O LORD. I have fainted and know You are the source of all perfection. I ask You to come and walk with Jimbo; hold his hand and strengthen his weakened body if this is Your will. As the psalmist I ask You to answer speedily. Your will is what we seek and I am thankful that You are enthroned forever. Amen

God hears our prayer Tom, just keep on (1Thes.5:17) My prayers are with Jimbo for healing, as for the rest of the family for God’s strength as well , together let’s be strong in trusting the Lord, and be reminded that Jesus is the greatest physician of all.
Our God is a faithful God, our body may faint, yet let us allow our soul to hope in Him.♡
ღ It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. ~ Lamentations 3:22-24

Yes, Tom, I am lifting my prayers to join with yours for Jimbo–we know God hears and is faithful. I’m beginning to get a glimpse that when I’ve “fainted”, it is in those moments that He is enlarging my faith and strength to continue–just a glimpse, but it will do for me today. God bless you and all your family (BIG)–love, sis Caddo

Amen sis! The more I pour out my flesh and faint before Him the more His Spirit fills me with faith and strength. A glimpse of His majesty fills us with peace and hope. BIG blessings and thanksgivings for your prayers.

Tom, I didn’t know about your dad-in-law…I’m so sorry and I will pray: for God’s healing in his body and for the comfort of the Holy Spirit on Jimbo and the family. Uphold them Father with your righteous right hand…in Jesus name.
sending love to all of you my friend and will continue to pray…
