Today’s Scripture: Malachi 1:8 NLT Tyndale: “When you give blind animals as sacrifices, isn’t that wrong? And isn’t it wrong to offer animals that are crippled and diseased? Try giving gifts like that to your governor, and see how pleased he is!” says the LORD Almighty.
I will give the LORD my best today. To Him I will give the first of everything; my time, my efforts and my resources. I have been guilty of giving Him only what is crippled and diseased at times and that is wrong.
The LORD has always loved us as stated in Malachi 1:2 and He deserves our best. When we turn away from sin He returns to us. I am thankful for His promises to prove Himself faithful.
God has sent us His messengers and given us a message of life and peace. There is such freedom in giving Him our best. Just as He says in Malachi 4:2 we will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. Let us just give Him our best and run free as we kick up our heels and bound ahead.
Will you give and be your best today?
Today’s Prayer: Forgive me Father God for cheating you. I know that I have not given You my best. I commit my best to You and trust in Your promises. I believe You will open up the windows of Heaven to me just as You promised. I am thankful for Your messengers and Your deep love for me. In You I find freedom, life and peace. I praise Your Name. Amen

Affirmations of God

The enemy of the best is “good enough”.
So true Joseph! We have many distractions that pull us away from what is best. I am praying to learn to stick to what is best and trying to do too many things “good enough”…Blessings giving Him your best!
