Today’s Scripture: Acts 3:6, NKJV- “Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.””
God’s timing is awe inspiring. Although I should not be surprised, it is always shocking and beautiful to see how God works. Today I “happened” to be on Acts 3 again. This is where Peter and John encountered the lame man at the temple gate called Beautiful.
In Acts 3:5, we are told that the lame man gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. If someone is looking at us, what are they expecting to receive? I have always been enriched by Peter’s response in Acts 3:6, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Here I am, February 7, 2025, and am acting in the same way. I am simply walking into God’s temple to honor and worship Him. I am praying that if there is anyone needing something from me that I am giving what I have. I certainly do not have silver or gold to give, but what I do have I am giving.
Many years ago I recall taking my oldest child Abigail and showing her my computer screen of several thousand “Affirmations of God.” I told her that if something were to happen to me, this is all I have. This is my children’s inheritance. I have not accumulated riches but what I do have I know is what God has given to me.
My Desire was never to write. My desire has always been to share the experiences I receive in our LORD. Always wondering why the LORD had me do this process day after day, year after year,
Since I do not know what to tell others, my desire it that by going back to the beginning of when the Spirit of God impressed upon me, “Tom, every affirmation you will ever need is found in my Word.” I now have this to give.
“Every Affirmation you will ever need.” is now available on Amazon. It is my prayer that anyone seeking a unique way to read and receive the Holy Commands of God in a real and personal way will follow along the path God has taken me.
Did I draft this book for silver and gold, no. Did I write this book because I feel God has given this process to me so others may rise and walk in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, yes!
I am praying right now that those who God intends will receive a copy of this book to create, reignite, and experience a very personal approach to the Word of God. I pray The Spirit of God will be at work so others too will recognize what they must give.
If you or anyone you know can benefit with a closer walk with the LORD, I pray it can be found on Amazon under Tom Raines Jr. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTY9F618. Kindle, softback, and hardback versions are available. The two hundred and forty-one devotionals are in the order of the steps God has taken me.
This is what I have, and I am giving so others too may be strengthened and encouraged to rise, jump, and praise the LORD as the man in Acts 3:8. It is my hope that, in part, this affirmation of God journey will help others find what they have to give this world as well.
I am thankful that God and His Word do provide every affirmation and everything we will ever need. Thank you to all of those who have encouraged me along the way through simple likes on social media and loving friends and family.
What do you have to give?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for what You have given me. What I do have is Yours Father God and I am giving to those who You have look to me. It is my prayer Father God that others too will learn to walk and praise You in the knowledge of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Please continue to teach us LORD how to give what we have. Amen.
