Today’s Scripture: Psalm 118:5, ESV- “Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free.”
The blessings we find when calling out to the LORD in our distresses are so much more than relief. What we find in God is His freedom.
Below are some of the freedoms I have found in Psalm 118.
I am free:
- To give thanks to the LORD (Psalm 118:1)
- To know that the LORD is good (Psalm 118:1)
- To know the LORD’S love endures forever (Psalm 118:1)
- To call upon the LORD (Psalm 118:5)
- To trust that the LORD is with me. (Psalm 118:6)
- To know that the LORD is on my side (Psalm 118:6)
- From the fear of people. (Psalm 118:6)
- Know the LORD is my helper (Psalm 118:7)
- To take refuge in the LORD (Psalm 118:8)
- Trust that the LORD will rescue me (Psalm 118:13)
- To know that the LORD is my strength (Psalm 118:14)
- To sing because the LORD is my song (Psalm 118:14)
- To believe that the LORD is my salvation (Psalm 118:14)
- To proclaim what the LORD has done (Psalm 118:17)
- To trust the answers of the LORD (Psalm 118:21)
- To know that Jesus is my cornerstone. (Psalm 118:22)
- To watch the marvelous works of the LORD (Psalm 118:23)
- Rejoice and be glad in this day that the LORD has made (Psalm 118:24)
- Believe the LORD saves me and gives success (Psalm 118:25)
- To Go in the name of the LORD (Psalm 118:26)
- To live in God’s light (Psalm 118:27)
- To confess that the LORD is my God. (Psalm 118:28)
- To praise and exalt the LORD (Psalm 118:28)
What freedoms have you found?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I thank You for answering my call and I thank You for setting me free. I praise You and thank You for Your goodness and your love. I continue to call on You to be my helper. LORD, I take refuge in You and trust You. You LORD are my strength, my song, my salvation and my victory. I am thankful that I can enter into Your presence. I rejoice and am glad in this day you have made and will live this day in Your light. I praise You. Amen
