Today’s Scripture: Romans 12:12 NKJV – rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
As we offer ourselves as living sacrifices we find encouragement and hope. When we admit we are powerless and lay ourselves out and ask to receive God’s power we receive it. We are told here in Romans 12:12 to rejoice in our hope, not just possess it. It takes confidence and emotion to rejoice, doesn’t it? When we know the power behind our hope we can rejoice in it.
As we renew our mind in the LORD we are transformed. As we give up our ways and the ways of the world we find and share proof of God’s good, acceptable and perfect will.
In my recovery walk and meetings I can celebrate the hope and ministries in each person. We witness hope in tribulations. We join the prayers and hopes of others. We become transformed by the perfect will and power of God.
Will you pause right now and rejoice in your hope?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am transformed in You and by You. I am rejoicing in hope of your good, acceptable and perfect will. I offer myself as a living sacrifice to you. Lord, help me with my patience in tribulation and call me to pray to you faithfully. Renew me and prove your will and love through me Father God. In You I rejoice in hope and in You I offer hope to all others. Amen.
