I please the LORD by being His

Today’s Scripture: For the LORD will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people for himself. 1 Samuel 12:22 ESV

 

Why does God call us to His specific words? We hear God’s voice in His words and He gives us specific instructions. He has been calling me to read Samuel. At first, I thought that this came to mind because of the similarity of how the people of Samuel’s day rejected God by desiring a king.

 

Politically and morally I think today’s society have repeated this cycle. More specifically I know God is revealing that He desires me to be fully His. He wants all of my heart, soul and mind to be dedicated to Him. I do not want Him to regret calling me so I want to complete His commands to me.

 

Have you heard God command you in His Word? Do you trust Him to give you the instructions and to guard your way?

 

We will do what He desires by being fully His.

 

Today’s Prayer: Almighty LORD, I am Yours. Your Word instructs me that You desire that I am obedient to the calling You have given me. I trust You totally with all of my soul to provide further instruction and those who will help me complete Your will. I only fear You and Your word and pray that I will please you. Amen
