I am praising You LORD for fearfully and wonderfully making me.

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 139:14, ESV- “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” 

I do not even need to know what fearfully and wonderfully made even means yet I know that I am. I know God made me and He knows me. I do not understand it, but my soul knows it very well.

We may not feel or even act wonderfully made but we are because of God and His wonderfulness. Do you ever doubt yourself or feel overwhelmed? We all do but do not let us doubt for a second that our God is wonderful, and He fearfully and wonderfully made each of us.

Earlier in this chapter in Psalm 139:1 David said that the LORD knew him. The LORD also knows us. I feel just as overwhelmed as David did in Psalm 139:6 and confess “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.” (NIV)

Also beyond our understanding is Psalm 139:16 “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (NIV) Regardless of what we are going through today, we can trust that God has already written our script for every single day of our lives.

We may think to ourselves, certainly God, you did not order this day for me! Yet, we can trust God, the Almighty Creator of all things. When we are facing one of those days, we can trust Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (NIV)

Let us praise God today no matter where we are for His wonderful works and for the life we have been blessed with. Let us focus on loving God and trusting Him with all our days.

Thankfully, God knows us better than we know ourselves. We can trust Him with our souls because He is wonderful!

Today’s Prayer: LORD God, I am praising You. LORD, thank You for making me. Your creation and Your Spirit are too wonderful for me to understand. LORD thank You for creating and giving life to us every day. I love You LORD. I am walking with You. Thank You for making our souls to know You. Amen.
