Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 4:23 ESV: and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
New life is found in the Spirit of God. Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:24 that we are created in the likeness of God. God is spirit.
When Jesus ascended we were filled with the Spirit. We can encourage each other to keep the spirit ahead of the mind. There is a different dimension here, have you experienced it? This dimension is the space that God has filled within us. Be still and you will know Him and you will find His Spirit.
In verses 17 and 18 we are told of the futility and darkness of our minds and how and in 22 we are to put off that old self. How do we do it? We seek the Spirit of God with the spirit within us. It is here that we are renewed. It is here where we find peace, comfort and the power of God. It is here where God speaks to us, encourages us and gives us the desires of His heart. How has the Holy Spirit renewed you?
Today’s Prayer: Spirit of God, thank you for filling me and revealing Yourself to me. I praise You for Your comfort, Your power, Your confidence and Your encouragement. Thank you for equipping me and allowing my heart to see. LORD protect me from the darkness of my mind. In You Father I am renewed. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
The Holy Spirit is certainly not talked about as much as it should be talked about in today’s western church. I love reading and thinking about the distinct characteristics that He has. Love your thoughts today, Tom.
Thanks Dustin, I know I didn’t understand it. I had heard about it but never slowed down enough to really know the Spirit. Now I am encouraged at recognizing the Spirit but it hasn’t come without seeking God more than I ever have in my life and them one day BAM, I began to understand and sense the difference and the reality of the Spirit. Now that I recognize His voice it just comforts me to no end to finally hear God. Just CRAZY!!
D,
I am soooo there with you on that! Not to glorify The Spirit above the Father, but yes, we so need to grab His Spirit and ask Him to be real to us, now, this side of Salvation.
Tom, seriously, you are a deep well of thought and challenges, aren’t you? I simply enjoy coming here daily to see what The LORD is going to lay on you to lay on us.
Thank you Donald. Trust me I am shallow but the Spirit is a deep well and we should try to bring it out. I am blown away by the very presence.
Thanks for your encouragement!

We often talk about the Holy Spirit — but to truly consider what it means to have the very presence of God within us … it makes me realize the blinders that we on that keep us from seeing the greatness of truth.
Rachel
We are certainly blind. I am thankful for His Spirit and have come to experience in a way I could not have imagined. Blown away and realize this is only a glimpse of His greatness. Humbling and empowering!! Thanks for stopping by!
