Today’s Scripture: Our Redeemer—the LORD of hosts is his name—is the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 47:4 ESV
This is our song of joy- the LORD is our redeemer. Many times when we have exhausted all other powers, ours included, we come to know the true redeemer. The LORD of hosts is His name.
God’s purpose is fulfilled in our redemption stories. Everyone who has been redeemed has a song to sing to the world. These are not my words of encouragement but those of the LORD, my redeemer in Isaiah 47 and 48.
We have all been tried by the furnace of affliction. As we listen and come to know the LORD in our afflictions we find His purpose and we find the way of prosperity. We go with the prosperity of the Spirit as God teaches us and leads us. We take with us the peace we have in God’s commands.
I shout with joy and proclaim that the LORD is my redeemer; do you?
Today’s Prayer: O LORD, God of Israel, You are my redeemer. Thank You for redeeming me in my afflictions. Thank You for being with me in the silence. Thank You for Your written commands that guide me. Teach me and lead me to share the joy and comfort I have found in Your redemption. Carry my song of Your redemption to the ends of the earth so You may be glorified. Amen
