Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 20:40 NLT Tyndale: For on my holy mountain, says the Sovereign LORD, the people of Israel will someday worship me, and I will accept them. There I will require that you bring me all your offerings and choice gifts and sacrifices.
I claim affirmations of God’s desires for us because I know He can do what I can not.
The intensity of the LORD and the challenge of giving all to Him are far beyond my understanding and abilities. He requires all but I can not give it. Sure I can say I want to but I have proven I can’t.
Great news for others like me is that just four verses later the Israelites were told that they would know He was LORD because He DIDN’T give them what they deserved. He treated them mercifully in spite of their wickedness.
This is not our excuse to do as we please but it is a call to recognize we need Him to give Him all. Could He “take” it all if He wanted? Of course, but aren’t we drawn to Him when we constantly think and affirm what He wants and what He requires? In every instance we can give it all.
Can’t we? Affirm it.
Today’s Prayer: LORD, forgive my wickedness. I need You LORD to help me give You all. In Your power and in Your strength I know this is possible. Break my heart LORD that I may passionately seek You and break my heart for others. LORD, I know life is in You and I ask Your protection from the deceptive life the world offers. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life

Hi Tom, lately I have been dealing with personal family issues. I know, that God is the only one who can carry me through. But, having said that it has been very difficult for me, I have been broken hearted, but that really is the only way to seek Him. We tend to think we can handle it without Him. I’m here to say I can’t.
Lize, thank you for sharing and I am lifting up your pain to God right now. I too find comfort in admitting I can not handle it without Him. May God honor your humbleness with comfort and strength. I will continue to pray for you. Thank you for reminding us all to approach Him broken hearted. I am sorry you are having to go through this.
