Affirmation of God: I trust in the Lord’s care.

Today’s Scripture: Paul chose Silas and left after the believers entrusted him to the Lord’s care. Acts 15:40 GWT 

We humans complicate things. This scripture stood out to me that the believers turned over this mission trip of Paul and Silas to the grace and care of the Lord. However reading all commentaries, this message was lost because of everyone focused on the argument between Paul and Barnabas. I don’t care to debate the argument and who was on whose side but the importance is the trust we can have in the Lord’s care and grace. 

May we go wherever and do whatever we have to do today trusting in the Lord’s care. Most biblical versions say entrusted in the Lord’s grace. Can we go confidently and empowered today knowing the Lord’s grace is sufficient for us? 

Let’s just go trusting the Holy Spirit will guide us as they did Paul and Silas in Acts 16:6 where we are told the Holy Spirit prevented them from going to Asia. Yes, the Holy Spirit will guide and prevent us from going down some wrong paths. We go down His path and He will open hearts just like He did Lydia’s in Acts 16:14. 

As we go where the Holy Spirit is guiding us may we trust in God’s care and trust that He will open the hearts He intends. I am praying and entrusting you into the Lord’s grace and care. Go. 

Today’s Prayer: Father God thank You for Your grace and power. I trust in Your Holy Spirit. Open up my heart to hear You clearly but more importantly open up my heart to trust fully in Your grace and Your care. I worship You Lord and place my faith in You. You are the Most High God and I serve and trust You.  Amen
