Today’s Scripture: Galatians 6:8 NLT Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
Does the Spirit of God sometimes blow you away? Do you believe God knows your tomorrow? I was first introduced to “positive” affirmations in the late 1980’s and I learned they worked to get things that I thought would please me. Although I satisfied my sinful nature I did witness the decay and death this verse promised.
The Spirit of God impressed upon me on January 9th, 2008 that every affirmation I would ever need would be found in His Word. I began that day harvesting Affirmations of God. In the face of many who have hijacked affirmations for personal gain, this verse gives me reassurance and renewed vigor to live only to please the Spirit. For in living to please the Spirit we receive everlasting life and God’s mercy and peace. I have experienced enough of His life to want no other.
Do you live to please the Spirit? Put your seatbelt on it is a wonderful ride!
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I am humbled and blessed by Your Spirit. Thank You LORD for loving me and covering me with Your Spirit. LORD I only want to live for Your Spirit. I trust You for reaping the harvest You intend for me. LORD guard my spirit and use me to share the sowing and reaping of everlasting life. Amen

Affirmations of God
Amen Tom. I have met many who use the power affirmation to get whatever they want, reconsidering what God wants. In the moment it seems right in the long run not including God’s plan into their affirming eat a away at the soul.
Amen Joseph, I am that person for sure…All that I affirmed for my selfish desires has been eaten away and I only desire to affirm and do as the LORD commands and directs…I am asking God to help me and teach me in my disobedience and to live to please the Spirit and not my sinful flesh. Blessings Joseph as you live in the Spirit!
Thanks Tom. I just came back from a Pastor’s conference where we spoke about man’s tendency to follow even God’s supernatural call for selfish gain. I guess we humans can turn the most beautiful thing into a tool of flesh and darkness. Thank God for grace!
Amen Joseph, this God and mammon thing is a toughie, I am in that place now that tests the resolve of faith. His Word encourages us to run the race with endurance and it sure takes it. Trying to live in this world and attempt to live for selfish gain is enticing yet decaying all at once. What pleases Him does not please the world. I pray to live in His grace and His Spirit and pray I can provide for my family so they too desire Him…Blessings my brother as you live to please the Spirit of our LORD.
