Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 1:12 NLT: They went in whatever direction the spirit chose, and they moved straight forward in any direction without turning around.
I have about as much ability to understand Ezekiel’s vision as I do the moves of the Holy Spirit. As I read Ezekiel this morning, I tried to visualize the creatures he saw in his vision then I came across this verse: “they went in whatever direction the spirit chose”.
Now THAT I could understand; I only want to go in the direction that the Spirit of God chooses. Whatever and wherever, going or stopping, I pray to move with the Holy Spirit. Do I understand it? NO.
We may not understand visions or moves of the Spirit but they are very real when you experience them. Moving and being with the Spirit is also where we hear the voice of God.
As the Spirit speaks, as Ezekiel 2:2 states, the Spirit comes into us. Are you willing to receive and go with the Holy Spirit even if you do not understand?
Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in Heaven, how great is Your name. Your ways and Your Spirit are beyond my understanding yet I know Your Spirit moves and speaks. LORD, I need Your strength and courage to go in whatever direction the Spirit chooses. I am willing yet weak. I cast aside my understanding to go with Your Spirit. Take me wherever You will. Amen
