Today’s Scripture: With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O LORD, for it is good. Psalm 54:6 ESV
I praise the LORD for His abundant goodness. As I knelt before Him this morning I came to grips with my lack of goodness.
But praise be to God, I just “happened” to be going to a stretch of Psalms that in five years I had yet to capture in my database of affirmations. Yes, I have a database of affirmations, how crazy is that?! Funny but in His goodness today He had me in Psalm 53:3 the very scripture where He told us he found NO ONE who is good.
His Word can never be fully captured and contained in a database which fills me with great joy to know this search will last forever. His goodness and His love are before us every day, all day, and are renewed with every life experience and every translation. I will continue to seek Him, capture what He says to me and share His goodness.
Do you thank God for His goodness?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I praise You and thank You for Your goodness. I know nothing good lives in me but You. I pray to keep You before me and my sinful nature. In You I am good. In You I am all things good. I ask You to keep Yourself before me all the day long. Amen

Christian Affirmations 4 Life
Sometimes the cares of the world pull me under and I forget to have eyes to see the goodness of God. Thank you Tom for the encouragement to look to His goodness in my life and in my heart.
Thank you Robin! This world continually strives to put us and itself before God. Constant reminders of His goodness are needed so that we set Him before us. I read that statement this morning…set Him before me. Then David said..Selah…it did make me pause and think…not just setting Him before me but really setting Him before ME…hope that makes sense:) Blessings as you look to His goodness!
Thank you for this affirmation and prayer , Tom. And I loved how God showed you something you hadn’t tapped into yet. 🙂 I’m going through a time of seeing my own lack of goodness, so this blessed me. God bless you!
Thank you Deb and God bless you as you live in His goodness! Happy Thanksgiving:)
